In 1903, Alleghany Bottling Co. merged with Clifton Forge Bottling Works (“Bottling Works,” 1903), retaining the name of the latter, to bottle in Hinton under the direction of S.T. Ford (see, Beckley Sodas, Charleston Bottling Works). That same news article notes that Alleghany Bottling Co. was a firm in Hinton, not Glen Jean, so perhaps they just distributed to Glen Jean from Hinton.
