Weirton Pure Milk Co.
1920s(?)—1938
The Weirton Pure Milk Co. existed in the early 1920s—at least—as an article discusses the retirement of a milkman who began his career there in 1923 (“Phillip Darmelio,” 1962). A local notes in the newspaper that the Weirton Pure Milk Company became the Weir-Cove Dairy, though they do not say when this occurred (“Life’s Merry-Go-Round,” 1965). I am presuming that this happened in 1938 (WV Sec. State, n.d.), when Weir-Cove Dairy incorporated, though I cannot be sure.
